Terms and conditions:-

1. This day Opium Suppression Bureau, Canton (hereinafter called the Buyers) has

ordered from the H.K.A.S. (hereinafter called the Sellers) and the latter have sold to the former a quantity of revolvers and ammunitions as per specifica- tions above.

2.Shipment of the goods to be made from United States through cargo for Canton.

3.The payment shall be made by the Buyers by depositing dollars...

4.It is agreed that the Buyers shall hand over to the Sellers a valid Huchao for

all goods mentioned above.

5.The Sellers shall insure the goods against all risk of the marine insurance

and beside against the risk of confiscation of goods by any other than the Chinese Government and or authorities. The Sellers have to deliver the original insurance policy together with the shipping documents. In any case of any claims arising from the shipment the original policy must produced to the insurance company and or their agents.

6.The Sellers shall not be responsible for late delivery or non-delivery of the goods in consequences of cases of force majeure,i.e unavoidable, unexpected and exceptional causes circumstances beyond the control of the Sellers. If such a case of force majeure should occur before the shipment of the goods the Sellers may withdraw from the contract or postpone the shipment at their option. If such should happen after the shipment the Insurance Co. will be responsible according to the Insurance policy.

7.If the Sellers fail to ship the goods they shall immediately notify the

Buyers by letter, stating the reason. In this case the Bank shall refund the deposit to Buyers, plus accumulated interest.
